An attempt at lighthearted humour, no more than that.

Did you look on the nbn?
yes I had a brief perusal, you were quite correct in your earlier statement, it's only as accurate as those inputting the information.Still an interesting site for all that. Thanks for the link.

When the first 'spread map' went up I must have been looking at my screen like... :icon_eek: Thinking where did they get to such numbers in the North west? Thank feck it was the Reds, that much I do know.

As for the munty map, well just as I thought. I've spoke to a few locals who say they are here, including a bloke from our 'local' Forestry Commission BUT them uni geeks don't know shit from shinola and the locals wouldn't know a munty from a big brown hare, so i'm not convinced.

The last time I seen one was years ago, pre ban on those crazy, long hauls down and around Oxfordshire. Where we'd see 'em munching happily in the front gardens of houses on the edges of villages as we'd drive through, or popping out of a hedgerow and onto the pavement of a B road. Once or twice we got lucky and dropped on one out and once the dogs went in to cover on a fox and out popped a munty. Good times...

I'd like to think that before I meet my maker, the scrag end cur that I then own, will nail one local.

Until then I'm gonna try and get this gangly youngster of mine the chance to flush one... Any offers...? ;)

Socks don't do humour.......... EVER!!!

oh he does........after weeks and weeks stalking your every move, doing recon on the remotest place where you walk alone with your dogs, he will lie in wait in the area, sometimes not eating or drinking for days on end untill the otter gets a strike upon his victim and when he does THEN you will see a slight smile crack on his old weathered face
