Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Quite easy to call a muntie to you for shooting purposes of course. The art is to imitate the bark but not too loud or you will have the reverse effect .They can be called easily in cover with a buttalo roe call using the soft fiep noise, but never twice .Cracking little deer that turn up in some unexpected places .Had quite a few run at me down rides when barking and need the dog for my own protection.lol. 2 Quote Link to post

R.A.W 1,987
If we form a big line can we flush a few back towards wales ?? They are already here. I've heard they are East of Newport in the Gwent area etc, Im just outside Bridgend and we have a few fallow not far, heard reports of Roe being introduced in the Bridgend area n all but not heard of any munties about so far. I have read they spread fairly quick tho so probally only a matter of time, reckon it'd be quite a few years unless somebody drops a load off as has obvs happened where they have isolated pockets in some parts of the country! I've been racking my brains and can't recall ever seeing one in Gwent and have spent a fair bit of time rabbiting on the area east of Newport but friends have said they have seen them. Now where can i sign up for this trip ? I got a history of fighting though brambles ................... Quote Link to post
