This is going to make me sound like the biggest bull shiter out but anyhow i know its true, just before the ban i used to drive around our farm if i saw a muntjac i would get close then open the truck door and release the dog, well the dog got quite good at this and yes not very sporting i know i was young!! anyway one morning i open the farm gate by the road and half way up the track stood a little foocker seeing some beer money coming my way i let the mutt go, blue got on terms and made the deer turn 180 now heading down the track at me, thinking i was the deer catcher by hand lol i made the plan to rugby tackle it i missed it, the deer got past ran across the road missed a car with dog behind the car hit blue just clipped him knocked him over i thought that's him done but he gets up and gives chase again this time heading across next doors farm who does not like any form of hunting, his field runs along the A41 so everyone can see deer gunning for it with dog closing in fast, a quick am sorry mate to the driver who stopped i get in my truck head down to the next gate way in his field praying no one from the farm has seen they hadn't but a 7 tonner full of travellers had and pulled up shouting and cheering the dog on, blue held the deer down and whats seemed like ages i get to them both, the deer was mulled but not dead so i cant let it go farm pen knife out and job done deer over my shoulders and running for the truck, as i get to the truck the travellers pull up alongside and shout out that was top crack lol thinking quick i chuck the deer in the back of their motor thinking i wont be caught with it saying you can have this. i put the dog in the car and did one all day i waited for next door to ring up but i got away with it i laugh at it now but i didnt find it funny at the time lol and i bet the driver of that car filled his pants too!! I am bracing myself for the comments!

Similarish, now I stay in a small village, a road runs through it in and out, was walking the dogs one day, the old bitch on the lead as she was a bit sore but the other 2 are loose, when the terrier puts one out and before I know it they are off heading the 3/4 mile towards the road, now would be a good time to say its half 5ish at night, and people are commuting home from work, I am running as quick as my dumpy fat legs will carry me, the terrier is still giving tongue which is a good thing as it means contact hasn't been made but I'm more concerned about the traffic/dogs on a 60 road. I eventually get to the road and it's lit up from both sides of the road by a number of vehicles, and as I get closer all I can make out is this f***ing terrier ragging the head about and the big dog anchored on its arse, my heart was pumping managed to drag the fiasco to the road side and get the dogs back on the leads. Obviously the deer was fine and he continued on his merry way on pastures new.

Edited to say not a munty though.

If we form a big line can we flush a few back towards wales ??:laugh:

They are already here.

I've heard they are East of Newport in the Gwent area etc, Im just outside Bridgend and we have a few fallow not far, heard reports of Roe being introduced in the Bridgend area n all but not heard of any munties about so far.

I have read they spread fairly quick tho so probally only a matter of time, reckon it'd be quite a few years unless somebody drops a load off as has obvs happened where they have isolated pockets in some parts of the country!
