Recommended Posts

Ok after about 10 phone calls and plenty of bs of the local vet I finaly found out how it goes...

Klm airways will take a pup on the plane if the box it is in is 20cm and under and the dog can stand up and lie down and you give them 48 hours notice berofe your flight, to fly it needs to have a micro chip and a passport corresponding to the chip if the pup is under 12 weeks ther is no need for the rabies jab don't let the vet tell you diffrent the pup needs to be jabbed up and in good health to travle and to get the passport you need to have the first and second jab this taking 2 weeks to compleate if the pup is over 12 weeks it will need the rabies jab so basicly from collecting a 6 week old pup you have 6 weeks to get him jabbed chippt and passported up and on the plane other wise you have to wait a extra time and money for the rabies jab its a fine line and you have to be quick and my advice whuld be don't listen to your vet to me they dident seem to have a clue and just wanted me to spend as much money as possible get straight on the phone to defra 08702411730 and tell the vet exactly what you want from them and state you have spoken to defra regarding this hope this is usefull for some flok because it was a bit of headace getting to the bottom of it sievin the lies from the truth atb
