Wanted bit of help with my lamps bulb ?

right so i got a draper 1.5million rechargeable lamp. its got a halogen bulb which is bright as f**k as long as the batt lasts which is about 40 mins ( fully charged ), i am just wondering if anyone can help me to locate non-halogen bulbs for it or anyway i can sort it .. any help appreciated!!

if you want the battery to last longer get a lower wattage bulb , but that will obviously be dimmer . the details of the bulb should be printed on the glass . its not the fact that its halogen thats using your battery its the wattage of the lamp.

More likely that it's the ampere of the battery as opposed to the watt of your bulb. Yes lowering the watt will increase your battery life but by increasing the ah of your battery will give you more life.

Chances are the battery you have in the torch is about 2-4 ah.

You won't be able to put a larger ah battery in the torch due to the size increase unless it's a lion battery, in which case you would be looking around the hundred nicker mark. It would probably be a better option to just buy a separate dedicated lamp and battery not a DIY special.

An option could be to buy a better battery for around £25 (7ah) and rig up a lead between your torch and battery pack??

yea mate thats what i was planning to do.. the lamp is a draper 1.5million rechargeable.. it says the halogen bulb 55w... batt is 6v. i was just wondering if anyone would know a good place for bulbs as to be honest i have not got a clue....

Try your local country sport shop or there's always bulbs on flea bay
