The Duncan 802
Hi guys, I'm looking for some advice. I've dried a few rabbit skins with salt and they came out well. I scraped them and smoothed them off then rubbed any salt off with a damp cloth and applied neats foot oil, rubbed it in and bent the skin back and forth. It was a bit more flexible, still fairly stiff and makes a crinkly noise. Any advice on how to get it crinkle free? I'd really appreciate any advice! Many thanks, Duncan
milegajo 595
As per PMs work it baby! Over the back of a chair should do the job nicely. Experiment with dampening tough bits as the aim is to break the collagen bonds. Sorry I didn't notice the thread. Good luck and experiment to see what works for you.

milegajo 595
Oh Christ! In that case you want either a fence post with a smoothish rounded top, or conversely, string it up sturdily and work it with a rounded stick. The eye of Sauron, or 'Google' should have some illustrations.
