When i had my boat i got the old girl too cook it for me..you can't beat a big lump of cod a few hour's old straight from the sea and home..

Its a lovely wee place mate....could well be the quickness of the fish from sea to shop. Either that they have a secret and not letting on. The batter is nice and crispy, never soggy and the chips are

when you think back to fish and chips from years ago you always queued outside the door because it was cooked fresh when you ordered it not kept warm on a shelf thats why it seemed to taste better and

Off to my dads tomoro he lives near hull, and buys his fish from a monger that delivers to his door his batter is out this world a real taste to behold

As for shops theres a van that runs through the dales on a friday stops at each village they are the best around

As for the ones at the coast there is some good ones but dont like em when they leave the wet suit on :bad:

Anyone make there own?

Nice piece of cod done in breadcrumbs, with thick cut chips.

Yes... Whenever I can get nice fresh fish... Although I make a beer batter ;)

f**k off.....you couldn't even make chips the other day....... :laugh:;)

Fairford gloucestershire in the market place is cracking ,but chip shops like pubs change hands quickly and what was a good chippiy last year can be piss poor this year.

Too true ,there's was a good one near where I used to live,and a Chinese couple took it over and ,was never the same.

Chippies in port Glasgow, best in the land, if anybody's ever there need to get gravy on it thine it's not the same.

 

Lab heard that 1 in anstruthers shite lol, stayed in fife 4 years and never tried it tho iv heard that off a few people expensive and pap lol.
