Downside if its a nice day you'll be out the door in a queue for up to 45 mins anyway.. you could be right Lab , dont know if its because they prob fresher by the old sea side , but they do seem to taste better at these places lol Its a lovely wee place mate....could well be the quickness of the fish from sea to shop. Either that they have a secret and not letting on. The batter is nice and crispy, never soggy and the chips are chunky and fresh, always. They have photos of Prince Charles stopping of there for a fish supper when William was at University at St Andrews...also Tom Hanks as well has been in...........wonder if they had to wait 45 mins...?.. Aye we passed you on saturday and headed up there after a quick look round muddy boots sitting eating fish and chip's on the beach and it was a lovely warm night Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Think it was called elite fish and chips One im fond of is in lettershandoney, not sure of the name but its nextdoor to an offlicence and im quite partial to their deep fried scotch eggs Another good one is on shop street in galway...
