Cut the grub by 95% and bike it 5 miles a day at 13 miles per hour for a week!!! That'll work. Oh, and get it a gym membership!!! FFS!!! 4 Quote Link to post

I wouldn't throw a dog who has been a couch potato into a five mile a day run along side a bike. A sure way to hurt a dog, cut food in half and gradually work the dog up to a decent distance. Say 1.5 mile a day for a week and 2 mile for a week after and so on. Feed on lean meat if you can with very little dry food as possible. Quote Link to post
Attack Fell Terrier 864
Terriers burn off weight FAST if you are willing to put time and effort into the dog. I took a Staff X Patt on that was double the size it should be, and I had it whipped into shape with in two-three weeks. I had it on 5 mile walks and fed it raw chicken every other day until he had dropped the bad weight off. All my dogs get fat during the summer months, IMO the summer months are their time to chill out and enjoy the odd treat. They'll burn more than enough weight during the season. Quote Link to post
leegreen 2,153
None of my dogs get fat in the summer months, why, because I take them out. If you've been too lazy to walk them and your wife has been feeding them too much, I think you have already answered your question. You and your misses should walk them. Just to add, if I feed my dogs too much, they just shit it out because they get lots of exercise. Quote Link to post
