Guest ARTEMIS
As we're so near to the sea, will it be fun for my ferrets if I take them to the beach for some exercise and playtime on an evening? My sister used to take hers to the sea (hartlepool!) and she said they loved to pick up stuff from rock pools and play at the beach. However, I read somewhere to avoid letting your ferrets near salty sea water. (nothing bad happened to my sisters ferrets though - apart from a posh lady asking her what breed of dog they were and then dissapearing like a shot over the horizon when my sister enlightened her to the fact they were actually ferrets! ) Does anyone here take there ferrets to the seaside or is it not really advised? Guest Ditch_Shitter
Course ye can take a ferret to the beach. I used to live in Southsea, couple of hundred yards from the beach. Often gave my lot a change of scenery along there. Just make sure ye have eyes in the back of ye head. Dogs. Don't forget also that, these days especially, there'll always be some hoodie wearing wanker who'll consider it meritous to send his Bull 'n Terrier type thing onto ye ferrets ~ because the six foot long tow rope he has it on will just happen to slip out of his hand after he's pointed its head at ye creatures and hissed in its ear. Yeah, I forgot about the hoodie wearing wanker - it's not just ferrets they point the pit bull on, had that guy let his pit bull at my kids at Lee on Solent - he looked a bit hacked off when I grabbed the dog by it's collar - threw it off and told it to sod off! Told me - "It was only a puppy" - to which I said, "Yes, and these are only my babies!" I guess I really DO need a box for the ferrets rather than a bag - a bag or pocket won't help much when there's a dog around! :thumbs-up: Oh, and :11: at all the Lilo, candy floss, killer whale, and tidal wave comms'! Am getting Poley ferrets so won't need the sun-block I think, but will be sure to put their base-ball caps on and bring their water bottles and life jackets to the beach okay! Not to mention the sunday times and a cold beer Quote Link to post
