£1 for a rawhide bone.....................

in the local pound shop just over £2000 for the vet fees,someone the missus knows, apparently a bone splinter in the rawhide chews caused puncture to the intestine of some sort,dog on the mend now but she wont be going down that route again in a hurry just shows you

Iv'e heard some horror stories about dogs swallowing lumps of those things and they swell and block dogs guts etc. I avoid them to be honest - i'd sooner give my dog a bone or something that breaks up when chewed - a biscuit type treat or even a carrot or apple.
