white toes

White claws are supposed to be softer than black claws, which I'd agree with to a certain extent as I find that black claws are harder to trim than white or 'see-through' colours. But I've also known dogs with black claws which are not hard, and vice versa ... I think it is more to do with the breeding than the colour in most cases, though diet can also play a part in the health (strength) of the claw.
