The plain and simple fact of the matter IS don't buy an adult dog unless you know the person who is selling it..get a pup instead as you will have a lot better chance of bonding and training it to your need's..and you will only have yourself to blame if thing's start going wrong..or on the other hand you can give yourself a big pat on the back when everything start falling into place and the pup is doing well..

A good dog wont be forsale mate.why if a dog was as good as people were saying would it be forsale..?

Circumstances do change on occasion, biggest problem is avoiding peddlers, bullshitters and dog theives

true enough mate.but better of buying from someone u kno if its an adult

Agree 100%. It is sometimes impossible to bond with an adult dog, never mind not knowing the exact training the dog has previously had.

Get yourself a pup and enjoy it :victory:

I went down the route of buying older dog's in many moon's ago and i whitnessed it personally on two occasion's that it is a bad move to buy older dog's..

The first one turned out realy nervy and timid she did get better with age after a long struggle she must of been hit from being a pup..the second was realy ignorant and i even lost it for 24hr's one night when it point blank ignored me and ran of in my opposite direction..and that was after i had owned it for around 8mth.. .

Both dog's ended up being rehomed to good pet home's through no fault of there own..

Every dog i have aquired from pup's are still with me or have stayed with me till the end.
