Lithium battery question..

Evening chaps. I've got a deben tracer lithium battery 14ah. I have had it for about 6 months and only used it a few times. I've always charged it full and never let the battery run out but was out Friday night and got abit carried away. We ended up staying out longer than usual and the lamp just went off while coursing a rabbit. The battery life gauge isn't lighting up. Is this normal does it just stop completely? I haven't tried to charge it as my charger is f****d but have ordered a new one and until it comes I'm abit worried that it might be f****d.

its only 6 month old so send it back mate,, think if left for longer than a week it will fook it

thats the way it works no warning you safer carrying a small torch to get u outta the fields in future.

I've had mine just go off fuel gauge and everything just charge it back up there's no warning with lithiums that's why thay got the gauge mate atb donk

So it should be ok then once charged back up? It's a bit shit that the way they go off without warning. Then again I suppose that's why the gauge is there haha.

Yeh that's how lithiums work mate. They don't slowly die like SLA batteries, they operate at 100% and then cut out when flat.

 

Will be fine when charged.

Yes should be fine happend to me the other night and the first time I used one while lamping in Scotland not good when your not sure about the land lol atb donk

Donks right lith are different there's no dulling of light just when empty just goes off. Full strength beam then bam off it goes. Just charge it back up then your be fine

It's the way they work they don't fade like old battery's they just go off, these battery's are class mate, I wouldn't say it's shit because it just gos off lol there's a 5 light fuel gauge that takes you about half a second to check

yes they dont fade they just switch off ive got a 14 and a22 they both do it
