well i thought id try out my wee whippet pup for the first time on the lamp last night hes 19 tts and 11 month been holding him off for a while as i didnt want to ruin him and i wanted to make sure his recall was tip top, well half 10 come and it was still abit light but we set off anyway was a 10 minute walk to a little bit of permission doesnt hold alot of rabbits but still gives the dogs abit of sport first field was a slight banking and shone the lamp first rabbit spotted squatted kept the lamp on it to let let him see it run soon as it moved slipped the mutt done a couple of good turns and it slipped away under the fence which soon as it slipped away he come straight back so the training paid off, had another scan an seen a few rabbits but too close to the fenceline so onwards up the banking come to the second field a fair few rabbits but there had been cows in the field and it was boggy so had no chance getting to them quietly so managed to tred through it and get to the third field he jumped the gate no bother back on the slip lead had a scan an seen a rabbit squatting in the middle of the field kept the lamp on it it moved slightly and the dog spotted it and started pulling so i let him go he gave it good turns and it kept close to the fence running up and down and jump into the long grass wi the dog straight in and it popped back out and done the same again up and down and went back in i thought surely it gonna get it the dog went back in to hearing the sqealing to witch i walked over and he started to retreive it but he only managed to get half way i was over the moon with him and he was happy as larry so gutted it there an then and decided that would be it for the night and it cooking on the hob as we speak
