gnasher16 30,491
]Ok Gnash, im with you now. But as regards to what cleanspade has stated that it a male's instinct to protect (even though im all for it), i still am a bit wary of, but then that could be just because ive never experienced it.. I dont know how old you are but i would guess its partly due to the way old school values are slowly being replaced with cool trendy new ideas................like women boxing ! Ok we,re talking about women boxing on this occasion but it could be many other things.....women firefighters whats all that about................if i was stuck in a burning building id rather have a 16 stone powerful man coming to rescue me than a 10 stone woman....................again.......its a compromise on the very sport/job they are doing...all in the name of equality and keeping up with the times.....never mind good old common sense !.............Equality is great in many ways but lets keep it real a woman cannot possibly do certain things a man can do to the same level.... and vice versa.
asanley 1,009
Some interesting views , I can,t think of any moral or ethical argument against womens boxing except a gut feeling that its wrong , like Gnash says sooner or later you, have got to go places mentally and physically that can haunt you , no other sport tests you in such a cruel way , as for women firefighters , I m glad I left the job before that happened , it,s a mans job , and no pc crap will ever change that . Yes Gnash i agree, im 20 by the way. In the present day, things are no where near the same as it would of been in your day, lack of respect could be the most common factor. And i agree that in some jobs its the strength and ability that is needed, takes a man.

stewie 3,387
ffs its 2012 if they wanna box let them, stop living in the past!!!! if i was in a burning house i would not give a fook who was getting me out, AS LONG as they were fit and able!!!! id much rather a daughter that wants to box off her own back, than a son who does it as he feels forced to match up to his dads expectations!! my cousin does kick boxing (not professional, admittedly) but shes pretty damn good, and its nice to know she can look after herself aswell as do something positive which she enjoys!!!! next thing on here will be men getting ripped for enjoying knitting.......
