Ah now, jusy cos our Katie beat ye're girl there's no need for dummy spitting

its the instinct to care for and protect the lady. that is instilled (or should be) in most men. you look after your sister then your wife come under your wing .your mother . thn you get children. the

I ,m all for equality and good luck to the girls who take part , but it just feels so wrong and uncomfortable watching two young girls punch each other , it,s not a sport I would watch again .

Nothing wrong with it lads, better seeing it in the ring rather than on the streets

I dont see it any different to two men boxing, but then again from a man's point of view - even if you's are all for equality you's will still think boxing is more a mans sport :victory:

Totally agree.............ive never met a man who himself has got in the ring who can hand on heart say they are ok with womens boxing.................for me its everything thats wrong with amateur boxing in general and thats not being disrespectful to the sport......

A boxing match should be like a story book....it should have a beginning a middle and an end..................only difference being you dont know how many pages the book has or where/how it will end.................Of all these fights we have seen in the Olympics has there even been 1 ko ?.............2 men know their intentions when they step in a ring, and thats to hurt each other and beat each other in every department for skills, heart, power and ability.....................

Personally i dont want to see a woman hurt or need to display heart....................and rarely do they need to in an amateur 3 round contest......so it defeats the object and compromises the sport for me............................and even from the basic human element,i,ll never be comfortable with women trying to give or take physical punishment

Katie, has a love for the sport, and any woman who does has nothing but respect, not many ladies like fighting or getting

hit, but watching it they have the ability to be on par for excitment with men in the sport...

so fair play to any who do it...

Snap.

Nobody said they " cant " do it Max thats not anyones decision to make.............like Stan said i,ll never watch it.....and im a massive boxing fan............

It would break my heart to see my daughter take even 2 minutes of the punishment myself or anyone else took.................so in my eyes if its not right for my daughter its not right for yours either.......................but then we dont have to like it folk will do whatever they want to do and thats how it should be.

Ps, i hate nothing more than women fighting on the street but im all for womens boxing.

Im not missing out if i dont like it.

I could watch my son go through a long hard possibly dangerous battle and be proud of him.......i couldnt watch my daughter go through a long hard dangerous battle without feeling ashamed that im not protecting her.....................different strokes for different folks i guess.
