Recommended Posts

My mate recently bought a jackrussle, one year old this dog was kept as a house pet and when i say kept i mean as not been out at all so as you can imagen now its out every day its like a 3month old pup bouncein round running after every single dog it sees well anyway as anyone got any good tips for him on how to bring this on bushing and just getting the killer instinct seen as hes inpaitent. thanks  and this dog is out with other working dogs we know it will pick it up but just want your feedback on what you would do!

get it out and about in the type of environment you will be working as much as you can -- hay stacks, dense bush,,river banks, hedgerows -- most terriers will naturally mooch some take to it quicker some never make it short cuts lead to failures . loads of stuff you can work on stock breaking, recall, dont rush it

seen pups like this and people who have brought them say i m sure the pups not the age the breeder tells me as it still acts like a pup, truth is it hasnt been out the kennel and mentally its months behind as it hasnt been let out for its mental side to develope normally, it also not properly physically developed which leads people to think there age is wrong due to there puppyish behavour, some puppies are way behind through no thought of there own ...............................its the breeders fault for not showing them the right start

patience and more patience, i have a jrt cross poss with lakie. I very nearly gave in and the mrs was none too pleased when he bit her, but got him out with a mates pack as often as possible, he is as busy as now, using his nose , put 3 or 4 up on tonights short walk, only thing is he is as noisy as hell when he gets on something, howling and yelping, but hey ho.
