If the lead stays in the quarry then the more kinetic energy is transfered

This is a good thing

It only takes a second or two to remove the lead from the brain matter; Or you could just as easily chop the head off the quarry, your snake wont really give a darn if it's meal has a noggin or not!

Nowt wrong with Serpants :nono:

Each and every creature has it's place on the planet

Snakes; they belong around the neck of my mother.

Although I wouldn't wish for one to bite her and suffer a slow and agonising death. It would be so unfair on the snake!

cutting the head off will not be an option, they look for the head as a starting point to swallowing it, if lead is a concern then you`d be better off with a ferret and a few nets, then if that did`nt work you could feed the ferret to the snake, how big is it anyway, 10foot+ and small piglets are an option

It would be cheaper and better to kill the snake.

....and feed it to the dog.

Just nipped on to see if there was any interesting posts knocking about..Well no is the answer but thats one Hell of a nice profile picture to wake upto in the morning

Thanks for the replies guys, i dont really have the room for a ferret as much as id love one, and my dog being a terrier isnt exactly the best dog for the job of catching rabbits although he does get them every now and again,

like someone said the head is what the snake looks for to start feeding, if it goes the other end on a bird you can end up with a snake with a half mouthful of bird with its wings sticking out everywhere makes a right mess lmao,

removing the lead wouldnt bother me if for some reason i couldnt find it, i could de breast a woodie/ cut up a bunnie and theres the dogs dinner i suppose,

to be honest im just looking for a good all round gun to do the job, any suggestions? also what sort of price range would i be looking at?

The asker says elswhere he has 3 Big boa,s 2- 5 foot + males and a 8 foot female!! FFS. Dont go upsetting him Tony, your front door letterbox might have a visitor or 3 tonight!  :tongue2:

That would be a proper double take moment 1st thing in morning when you lean down to get the post off the floor :D

you can split rabbit skulls with a cleaver if you want to play hunt the pellet. Thing is what is your budget, no use looking at a new HW if you only have £150 to play around with! For speed get one of those wood/metal detectors handymen use, can be used to find lead pellets easy (just tried mine on lead, it works)! Remember though you may not be looking for just your pellet!
