Continental Shooter 2
Alright lads, Just a quick question, not sure if it happens your area as well, but it seems that this year pigeon are only going for clover in my permissions (Scottish Borders). I shot newly sown barley, self sown rape and a couple of roost and not much luck; beside nearly every pigeon I shot had clove on it. Even when shooting barley, I got shocked how the woodies where always landing on the clove fields around . Thought they need time to get accustom to barley but with the rain and stuff the seeds went up really fast and woodie never looked at the fields ever again. Tried rapes then, but same story Any thoughts on that will be really appreciated! Cheers the now, Franco Quote Link to post
Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
Franco its due to wet weather pigeons hate wet muddy feet and are choosing clover leys to put it this way would you have a pinic on a ploughed field or a nice grass field . Cheers Cookie Quote Link to post
