Anybody else feel like its ruined by them taking away the on screen points system ? im finding it rather boring ..........

Wouldnt say its boring but definately used to be better when you could see the scoring.

Must admit im not a big fan of amateur boxing and can only watch the fights that involve a Brit......................then again i could say the same about womens basketball ....still gotta get behind

Fook me lads we have been on the end of some of the worst dicisions over the years at the world championships , commonwealth games and olympic. Games although I think it was close. And on the count back he won fair and square , come on lads give our lads support. Just thinking good job it never went to a draw and one of the aba rules was brought in BEST TURNED OUT BOXER GETS THE DECSION. THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN UPROAR LOL LOL

seen some very bad decisions. and i thought the cuban beat jousha

Just as a matter of interest do you understanding the scoring procedure in international amature boxing

Maybe I don't - I was under the impression that Amateur scoring was on punches landed, and pro scoring was punches, effective aggressiveness, and ring generalship. Is that right? Either way I think the Cuban looked more in control throughout the bout, was more confidant, aggressive and effective.

Shots landed to the upper body and head , not gloves or aggression , the Cuban. Come forward the Brit defended and scored more clean shots the last round was even so it went to count back , thus the Brit won. All judges must press the red or blue button simultaneously for a score to be registered. There are also officials over looking the scoring. It's as fair as you can get.

We were told years ago to coach tech to promote skill. , take the aggression out of the kids and coach boxing , aggression. Comes with age Its channeling it in the right way. We are seeing the results with four of our. Male boxers seeded. And two of the ladies ,

I think we have definately had the rub of the green decisions wise up to now.....but nobody can win through to a gold on luck alone so if any of them were not good enough they,ll get found out eventually.............personally i dont think the best all round fighter necesarily wins an amateur contest in a 1 off bout and thats why i dont particularly like it............but that dont mean you can bullshit your way through a competition the best fighter will usually win the gold over the entire tournament.
