does it just see if the battery has juice on it or can it tell how long it will last for? surely just turn your locator on and if you hear a noise it works then?

The one i have has maybe ten lines on it the more the battery lights up the more juice its going to have

Just by decent batts they last 100 hours : )

I buy descent batteries and bin them at new year and buy fresh ones to last till April but i still test mine before i put them in a collar , if you need two in a fifteen foot collar its surprising how one goes flat while the other plenty power

hearing aid battries fit them.mate works in the hospital gives me box loads

Aye its all hearing aid batteries i use,but if you where fitting up 6/7 fifteen foot collars and had a duff battery i would check it against another one out another collar trying to find the duff one but now two minutes and there all checked ,and its so small i carry it in the field with the spare batteries and collars and if a collar packs in it's the first thing i check and you can be back ferreting in two minutes .
