Wanted Really Cheap .223, .243, .270 & .308 rifles

As in title, a mate's son who's just got a job as underkeeper , is after any of the following .223, .243, .270 & .308 As the ad say's they must be Cheap as

 

he's Skint up to £150 each . If anyone can help , please pm me

I know it's asking a lot , but he does'nt need anything fancy or screw cut, condition of stock & blueing is not important, just something that works. This is his first job & as soon as he can save a bit of money he'll buy something better

 

Also he does'nt need Smart arsed comments

If the lad wants something that shoots straight I doubt it will come for that money mate ( in shit state with no scope won't help him much at all)

 

My advice would be to concentrate on a caliber he can make most use of and go for quality ( ie spend the whole budget on the gun,scope,a quantity of ammo and any cleaning kit he will need. Not to forget a safe)

 

Buy quality and don't regret it ( as with any TOOL a craftsman will be using most days)

I've already loaned him 2 zeiss scopes so all he needs is the rifles , something like old parker hales are ideal & accurate , a .270 is a must but a .223 would be a bonus

Get on the stalking directory and find some of the parker hales that are on sale there, 243 is the way to go. or 308 at a push.

 

Should get one easy for 150 bucks. Gunmart as well usually has a few
