darbo 4,776 Posted August 2, 2012 Report Share Posted August 2, 2012 (edited) Got 1 in 1989 out of remus. lived for 17 years. 25 inch rough coated brindle. excellent temperament. training wise was easy as long as he was not pushed too much when young. made a decent lamping dog, mooching dog, worked well with the terrier bushing. caught a good number of daytime hares although these were hunted up. worked on all types of land no problem with his feet. good jumper and retriever. very obedient dog was a pleasure to own.he was no world beater but always give his best. minus point he was very hard mouthed everything came back crushed from the 1st rabbit to the last he caught at 11 years old.i have seen very few beardy crosses for sale since the eighties.
