for the people that have an do own them how did you find them work or pet wise what were they like to train and are they well constructed

for work weather it was pre ban or ban im very fascinated with this cross an would like to no more from people that have owned them with out me having to go down the book reading route if you have any pics to add of the all the better :thumbs:

I have a 1st X, cant comment on the working side.....yet, as she is just 5 months old, but so easy to train

Got 1 in 1989 out of remus. lived for 17 years. 25 inch rough coated brindle. excellent temperament. training wise was easy as long as he was not pushed too much when young. made a decent lamping dog, mooching dog, worked well with the terrier bushing. caught a good number of daytime hares although these were hunted up. worked on all types of land no problem with his feet. good jumper and retriever. very obedient dog was a pleasure to own.he was no world beater but always give his best. minus point he was very hard mouthed everything came back crushed from the 1st rabbit to the last he caught at 11 years old.i have seen very few beardy crosses for sale since the eighties.

'keeps' on here has a absolute cracker 3/4 bred 'indie', i think he's getting on a bit now but i'm sure if you spoke to her she'd keep you right, why not search on here for 'indie' there are some amazing pics of him
