tegater 789
Imo the milk gives them the squits even though they love it, but I feed mine on dry in the summer with the odd bit of rabbit or pigeon. Come autumn and winter then its rabbit supplemented by dry if I can't get out. I won't give them cat food, even tho some others do. Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,936
Ferrets cant take milk as they are lactose intolerant, Don`t give them it, use cat milk instead,(milk for cats NOT milk from cats) Eggs is OK, I use Alpha dry and plenty rabbits but any meat, fish fruit, will keep them happy, mines get whatever I can lay my hands on. A friend of mine fell of a ladder and smashed his ankle up. Looks like he might have to lose the foot so I asked him for that as well to give to the ferrets, waste not want not eh ? he told me to fuckoff, but I reckon I can get it from him if he gets it amputated . Rake aboot 4,936
Jabs as in innoculations ?? No, never, not once in 23 yrs of ferret keeping mate Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Aye rake is right, you can give them lactose free milk, or just goats milk, which is cheaper and doesnt have lactose. I do give them the odd little mix up of eggs, goats / lactose free milk, and maybe some blood and kidneys etc, in a kind of soup, especially when they have had a very hard days graft or taken a proper beating. I mostly feed mine rabbits, which is fine, but as it has feck all fat, isnt so good for adding weight or building up, if i need t do that i feed birds as they have a high fat content. Best possible diet is a good whole carcass diet, flesh, bone, fur, bit of offal etc. I do use a good quality dry in summer as well. 3 Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,936
Handle handle handle then handle them some more, they will come out of it, I`ve "cured some right horrible b*****ds off biting but it takes patience and thick skin. 3 Quote Link to post
