You should have said........

I was in the Droitwich knee clinic same time as him. He'd done his knee ligaments on a Tuesday playing at Everton if my memory serves me right. I went in on the Thursday and he was in the room opposite. He was leaving that morning, he said hello and seemed ok (I wasn't really sure who it was untill the nurse said) When he left he left all the flowers in his room that he'd been given, even the ones Sporty Spice sent.

The nurses said he was a bit up himself and wouldn't sign any autographs for some kids who were out side. One funny thing though, i was looking out of the window and some kids waved up at me, so i waved back. Made there day i bet. Strange, as i look nothing like RF.

If I really had to pick one it would be very close between Julian Dicks and Paolo Di Canio.......that said, how can you pick just one when we have been lucky enough to see some true greats in English football.

Cantona for presence on the pitch

Berkamp for sheer technical brilliance

Scholes for being the consummate professional

Jimmy Flloyd Hasslebank for that sweet powerful strike

Shearer the out and out forward

Roy Kean the midfield warrior/general

The Wimbledon team from the 90s for showing that a little talent and a bucket load of aggressive winners attitude can get you a long way

We have been very lucky in this country
