the RS amd Mexico Escorts was somthing else. my first car was a MKI 1100 Escort and always wanted a mexico or I think back then there was a Harrier? a RS would have been nice too ....

the days of lifting the bonnet with a pair of feeler gauges in our hands checking the points and plugs have all gone, what a shame........

Thats it Jasp :D .....many a sunday morning stood about not really knowing what we was doing with feeler gauges i was always the one to snap the clips off the distributor cap first  .....i never did understand rotor arms, top dead centre and all that carry on !

The Harrier was the " Minder Escort "....if my memory serves me correct...........or that might of been the Zakspeed one i forget now.....anyway great cars and great memories.

Bca at blackbushe i bought a 2 year old ford mondeo for 8.5k full service history with 30k miles. Also a 3 year old mondeo with 50k on it cant remember what mileage it had on it but both cars were faultless.I think the bigger auctions you go to the better. The little 1's are as other people stated other peoples shit.

You can get apps on ya phones to check cars onthe spot for about a 5er, you can also check the milage through the not checker on direct.gov just type into good MoT check. All simple stuff and if the car looks straight no funny noises ect then it's good to go

Had both 2.8 4x4 and the 2.9 4x4 loved both untill they got crashed,, the 2.8 was a gonna and the 2.9 was a fixer. sold to a mate.. liked the 2.9 better and it drove better but i had koni adjustable suspension . wing on back racing splitter, big 18" rims on it tuned by this guy down next to the Tyne..had it off the clock a few times.. was not the sort of car you could drive slow.. but would do a tank in every 8 hours easy.. still like them better than the scoobys tbh

but my best car i ever had was a MG turbo metro, chopped it up into a pick up had it tuned by same fella as the 2.9 and it was unreal 130 easy
