skycat 6,173 Posted July 31, 2012 Report Share Posted July 31, 2012 Whole carcase is best: red meat, especially things like heart, liver etc, is much too rich for them on its own. If you are going to feed stuff like that it should only form about 10% of their total diet or they'll scour badly (diarrhoea). Chicken carcases from the butcher, where the legs and breast meat has been taken off for human consumption, are fine as part of the diet, but a little read meat should be added. Beef on its own its own lacks certain essential nutrients such as calcium; it is not a balanced diet on its own. Quote Link to post
