Food for baby ferrets

Just wondering what food to give to my to baby ferrets.

 

Should i put them on james wellbeloved ferret food or just feed them dog meat?

raw mate if you can get rabbit pigeon or chicken carcasses wings but never feed them DOG food at a push cat food is ok but not on a long term basis hope that helps DM

sorry when i say dog meat I mean Dog meat from the butchers like heart lings etc that they dont sell that they mince up for you.

just try them on it matey some ferrets dont like it where are you based if your close to warrington i can give you a few places to try cheers DM

Whole carcase is best: red meat, especially things like heart, liver etc, is much too rich for them on its own. If you are going to feed stuff like that it should only form about 10% of their total diet or they'll scour badly (diarrhoea). Chicken carcases from the butcher, where the legs and breast meat has been taken off for human consumption, are fine as part of the diet, but a little read meat should be added. Beef on its own its own lacks certain essential nutrients such as calcium; it is not a balanced diet on its own.
