Recommended Posts

i seen a bitch three nights ago on the lamp run a fox out of a field an brought it back in, in the dark clearing double sheep wire an a stonewall down the middle of it

you were out lamping 3 nights ago????? its not even the end of july yet!!!! you wouldnt even need a lamp these nights she could probably see it running in front of her...

take the same bitch out mid october or mid november and see how she does.... or would that bee too late as the foxes will have actually grown a bit and not the size of defencless kittens and have bigger teeth??? :hmm:

Unfit; injured and not entered properly are the most common reasons for a dog pulling up ...   A dog I seen a few years back it wouldn't run a hare but would run a rabbit, it wasn't till he got it t

wilf you can look for all the excuses you like if a dog jacks it jacks an iv probably made mistakes , but when you keep stock you try for the best ,when i raced pigeons when i entered the loft i was looking for ferret food so anything looking sorry for its self got the chop didnt matter what way its bred or how much it cost....and its the same with dogs not up to standard

I understand all that matey, here is a question: would you make up your mind on a dog based on one under par performance?.....

I saw some lads a few seasons ago slip 3 dogs onto a big dog fox, the critter took stood up to them and none of the dogs wanted to get in and have a go bar the occasional nip........now if foxes are what these lads are choosing to run then them dogs deserved a bullet.

If a dog pulls up, then it needs investigating further before you make a sound decision........thats all I am saying.

an over used word is jacker, normally to cover the inadequacies of the owner or to justify the need to get rid so as to make room for the next wonder cross. ive a dog here that will run himself to death before he will pull up or give in, does that make him a jacker :hmm: ive got an old dog aged 10 who`s lost all his pace, does that make him a jacker :hmm: ive a young dog here, who, when aged 12months couldnt catch a poatage stamp in a postbox, did that make him a jacker :hmm: preban ive seen dogs that didnt like the sharp end but were mustard on hares, did that make them jackers :hmm: i ve also preban seen dogs that excelled on teeth and hoof but couldnt hold a feather to a good winter hare, did that make them jackers :hmm: as i said a word thats very over used

How do you know hed run himself to death untill hes done it.Thats as bad as lads going on about their dead game bulldogs or terriers that are still alive.

when a dog runs through the point of its limits it never boads well theres always a price to pay, some dogs will go through the pain barrier that would.should stop most dogs from doing themselves further damage, if you had ever seen the type you will know what im on about

u were out 3 night ago and you were slipping at foxes, when does your season start or have you even quit since last season. Your dogs would prove plenty killing cubs.

I think that every dog will have its own limits some when push to far have enough and quit maybe down to fitness Or injury then that's down to the owner but you will also have dogs that there heart is not 100% in the game and don't mind seeing rabbits get away. But when you watch lions and other big cats run they won't kill themselfs and will pull up short I think some dogs got the attitude of living for tomorow and there's nothin you can do about it.
