Rake aboot 4,936
I agree with that you don't seeing many good collie x pups for sale and Hancock is an easy option I think this is why people off here should get intouch and breed a litter or two out of good working stock there are pleanty of decent lads on here that would take on these kind of pups not for money just for future pups I know a lot of people wouldn't like to do this but it would be great for some good working lurcher? Another question do you think Hancock would use an injured bitch say for instance bad feet ? Nope. He`s a business man, no point. His Greyhounds are all ex track dogs, so unlikely that bad breeding would get on the track in the first place. And an injury doesn`t come through in the breeding, genetic defects do, but an injury wouldn`t. A fault that made the dog prone to injury would as well. but like I say, why would he, he has a company to think of. Quote Link to post
johnny boy68 11,726
The last litter of genuine collie x dogs I heard of that were bred in my area produced this bitch(Hancock x Hancock) and she's 8 now. You just don't see collie/grey pups around these days. 1 Quote Link to post

frankel 2,123
It is not hard to produce,........ a genuine Collie x Greyhound lurcher,........it sure ain't Rocket Science. i agree, 9/10 greyhounds have brilliant breeding and most folk dont really care if there any good on the track aslong as it isnt a dodgey one.getting a collie bitch would prob be the hardest part but nowhere near impossible. nothernlite 18,089
nice dogs you have did you go with the wesh collie if not what did you start with ? Quote Link to post
johnny boy68 11,726
johnny boy, out of curiosity how were your bitches parents bred? I'm not 100% sure as the memory aint what it was, I'll dig my diary out later and check, the sire was out of Taffy and I think the dam is Stormin Norman bred. Quote Link to post
storm323 191
I think he would use a injured bitch maybe with bad feet or maybe bad wrists I dunno 100% if it would but I would of thought breeding from injury prone dogs would only increase the chance of injury? He's is a business man and a business man is init for the money so there for a cheap ex track injured bitch or not would be good for business for him I don't believe he thinks about the offspring and who has them and what they do with them it's simply money he's after and this is why I won't be after another one!yes it is not rocket since to breed a decent litter it's depends on you circumstance of where your living still at home at 21 I'm not a free man to do what I want with the dogs lol Quote Link to post
