Giro 2,648
For purchase price and running cost what the better option?? Looking at 2004 and newer models.. G, Vitara Diesel and Jimny petrol.. Also looked at L200 2.5 td or Trooper 3.0 TDI LWB.. For between 3.5 and 5 k whats your thoughts. Have read some reviews on line, Jimny seem to be as thirsty as the bigger 4x4 and aint that roomy in the back. I did have a old Vit JLX and found that ok, just kept needing loads of work and welding. At moment me Van is doing 50 MPG, wondering if I should just run it into the ground. Cant afford to keep and run two cars Want car for commuting to work daily and getting out in the feilds with dogs, farm tracks and pulling into feilds getting up fells on rough accsses tracks. Not a lot of major off roading.. Going to look at few tomorrow not commited to buy yet.. Thoughts and advise please Edited July 30, 2012 by Giro
patterdale666 1,620
If i was to pick between the g vitara and the jimny id have the g vitara. But if you want something bigger have a look at the landcruiser or the hilux aswell less troublesome then the l200

jaycey001 0
I have the older G.V with the Mazda rf disel engine. Have been very impressed with mpg. On average im getting around 40-45 and if driven carfully 500 miles to a full tank. I have a 1.3 micra and the suzuki only costs around £7 more for my average 130 mile commute. I am a suzuki convert, think they are great cars!
