skycat 6,173
Well this is nether for sale or wanted but I didn't know where else to put it: so..........this is the situation. My very kind local butcher lets me have his waste meat, trimmings etc. The only problem is that I just can't get through it all and it breaks my heart to dump perfectly good dog food. It is mostly stripped chicken carcases: fatty backs/carcase with the legs and breast meat taken off. Obviously there's still a bit of meat left on there. Wings too. Breast of lamb: ribs, the flaps etc. Beef trimmings (not many) and anything else he chucks my way. Loads of lamb and beef bones too. I have a smallish chest freezer which I could fill up and someone could collect every 2 weeks or a month depending on how much they wanted. If anyone is interested please pm me and we'll sort something out. As I said, I don't want any money for it but it seems a shame to throw it away which is what I'm having to do at the moment: and don't anyone dare suggest I get more dogs to use it up! skycat 6,173
Thanks for all your enquiries folks: got more than enough takers for now but I'll put it back up if things change. Simoman: it's not costing me anything and I only have to go 200 yards round the corner to fetch it. I know what you mean: I was spending £90 a month on Landywoods (yeah I know, I've got too many dogs LOL), now I just get £50 worth every 2 months or so just to top up with and mix their veg with. Phil Lloyd 10,738
Thats a very generous offer skycat :thumbs-up: Fresh meat from landywoods costs me about £40 a month so somebody will get a bargain........ Most butchers have to pay a 'bone man' to collect their waste,..the cost can be as much as £30.00 a week! I would advise anyone with a perchant for feeding 'raw meaty bones' to make enquiries... I'm now in the same situation as Skycat ,.thank goodness for The Big Fish and Rabbiteer Once you have found the right contact,.and got a Butcher round to your way of thinking,.and getting him to keep you all the various bits and pieces,.you sure as hell don't want to mess him about, and risk losing the fecker...So,..anyone in Hampshire,..in need of some meat,.. Just PM me.... All the best,..CHALKWARREN... Edited June 4, 2007 by CHALKWARREN
