People worry too much about other people dogs, What they call them , What they do with them or where they work them......   FFS people the seasons not too far away enjoy it no matter what your mutts

They're all just lurchers.............my pup is 8 months now, I can see a lot of traits in her that are collie traits but also others you don't usually associate with a collie x. This pup seems more f

Who cares this crap is boring and repetative now.

Aye, a million miles different . . . . . . .

Naaaaw, to be honest, the one i've seen a lot recently, has a lot of collie traits.

Which isn't that surprising, considering that she is pretty much half collie.

So are you saying minshaws are collie crosses but different from other collie crosses.

different alltogetha

But surely "Minshaws" are mainly Collie and Greyhound, with a wee bit of Beddy and Deerhound way back in the line, so could quite reasonably be described as Collie Crosses ? Or have I wasted my time reading almost 400 pages on the "Minshaw" thread ?

Cheers.

no wonder theyre different, theyre minshaws.... not collie x

well i may wrong here, but from what ive read (minshaw) type lurcher was bred as a out and out lamping dog. Where as most colliexs are day+ night time dogs. My dog Bryn as had in the past some very good bags(20-30) rabbits in the lamp, last time ferreting marked 25 and got fair vew birds in the day. So i reckon they vast differnce in the two xs, unless the minshaw type is being used as the above.

Ray altho there good points but if a collie x was used as a gun dog retriever would that mean its no longer a collie x. Regardless of what a type does I've always thought it still carried the same pre fix

Its because the other breeds in them will still be makeing the difference between them and just collie x grey or grews any body whos had collie crosses and collie lurchers crossed to other type lurchers will understand wat your on about.
