She could of lost the final race by 13 seconds and still took gold...........................but classy lady as she is she wanted to finish the job in style................ Id be interested to know if an Olympic Heptathlon has ever been won by over 300 points before...........she pissed it.......fantastic !

Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
I think we need inbrace what a cracking event this has been for our great country and Jess ennis is major inspiration for our young and only 26 and shows that with hard work you can get to a good level be it sporting or even in day to day life like getting a job and doing well. She comes from a humble background and blows away some much of bollocks spoken about unbringing and wealth equals a easy life and that being brought up in a working class background means you can get anywhere in life. Well done so far team GB Cookie Ammended to show here correct age thanks Johhny Edited August 5, 2012 by cookiemonsterandmerlin

Born Hunter 17,780
Well well well, to say I'm proud to be British is a MASSIVE understatement! Jess Ennis, our golden girl, is a model athlete. Her determination, mental strength and dedication is second to none. Been really looking forward to the heptathlon and her performance really has been the cherry on the cake for the first week. That girls name WILL NOT be forgotten soon.
