davyt63 1,845
hi every one when Si & i had roger crooks AAS410 to calibrate it for him out to 50yds ,i think it was Si who got the tightest group using H&N FTT well i pulled the lump of lead/group out of the board, and it goes to show right calibration and pellet, and marksman principle, what accuracy you can achieve here are some photo's CLOSE UP! you can clearly see,4 points of impact,by the lines on the left hand side of the group, hence the 4/5 shot group. i believe one of the pellets is covered by another so not bad at all 1 Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
I remember when I had my S10 I did a 15 shot group that landed like that, the ball of lead it produced was awesome to see! Good shooting guys. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Ummm I think I did mention this some where in another thread last week partner but didn't expand on it. I had forgotten that you had kept that lump of lead. That was at 30 yards and in a slight breeze off a bipod and after we had identified which pellet suited Rogers barrel the best. That was the first group I shot with the rifle after Davy had set it up. I bet Roger as to be happy with that . And this is why I say time and time again that a .177 is no more accurate than a .22. You cant get any more accurate than pellet on pellet, its physically impossible. What is the difference is that a .177 is easier to gain better results with due to a flatter range estimating trajectory. Si. 1 Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
That was the first group I shot with the rifle after Davy had set it up. Si. So youre trying to say Davy set the rifle up and then DIDN'T tweak the turrets for you afterwards??? nice lump btw, few more of them and you'll be able to weigh them in!! Phantom 631
Creating on lump groups is awsome when you get it right Next time set up the video and film it, why? because if its a fairly dull in daylight, you can see the pellets "Glow" orange as the energy is turned to heat and they fuse together. I've witnessed it and it's fantastic. If you have a high speed camera ist great to watch it in slow motion Nice one gent's, Roger will be well chuffed Tony 1 Quote Link to post
Elliott 436
Nice one lads, I've done that a few times with the HW100 and its a great feeling. I hear a lot that AA PCP's are very accurate and this goes to prove it. One of my favorite tricks with the HW100 is to shoot a .22 pellet inside an empty .22lr case at 25m 1 Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Great, you get in good and close to capture the glow? I've only witnessed it at close range and it only lasts less than a second. It's really is quite an amazing thing to see. I've got a couple of stacks of lead about 30 pellets deep, looks like a metal thumb. It was shot at 6 yards and when I saw the glow of the fusion I just couldn't help myself I just had to keep going till my air went Tony Quote Link to post
Tron 173
Jeeze! Thank God Si, said it was fired from a bipod rested rifle!!. Still tremendous accuracy. Well done. Quote Link to post
