DKGPestControl 22
Hi All, I have been shooting roe and muntjac for a fair few years but always as a job! So big bucks are never really on the cards, and there aren't that many on the ground we shoot! I was shooting on a golf course the other night, with a report of a fairly bold roe buck that is worrying the golfers! I think he was a bit hormonal! It took me 3 evenings to get a shot at it, When i finally walked over to pick it up, I was suprised how big the body and the head was! Biggest i've shot before! The body weight 51 lb at the game dealers, And the head is pictured below, Do you think it cold go silver? Dry uncut weight is 515g after 16 days of drying. And does anyone know the fee's for getting them measured? 1 Quote Link to post
ratattack 111
Thats a nice head. Try here for your nearest judge http://www.cictrophy.com/ Think it's £30 if it goes medal class this is for the medal and certificate. BASC do it for their members too, think thats £15 Edited July 29, 2012 by ratattack 1 Quote Link to post
DKGPestControl 22
Thanks for that info! All spot on! Just need to let it dry out for a month or so yet then im sending it in! Quote Link to post
ratattack 111
Needs to be no less than 90 days drying time, they will only premeasure it and you will potentially need to pay twice if it reaches a medal. Quote Link to post
