patterdalejoel 669
i freeze the bags on a tray not touching each other then store together when frozen, only viable if small amount though. if the bags arent greasy or moist on the outside they dont stick together at all really. Moll. 1,770
Certainly John, but you would have to sleep in the shed, no room here because of the bloody dogs

Caravan Monster 323
My elderly (14+) lurcher got to the stage where didn't do well on just raw, and I found through trail and error that cooked meat bulked out with things like brown rice or pearl barley and any veg that comes to hand. I make it in batches and freeze in tubs (good prices on ebay if you buy large multiples). Bit of a ballache to prepare and cooking the meat probably isn't necessary other than for elderly dogs, although I daresay it would be a good source of 'easy' energy post hard work or recovering from injury. Probably a bit monotonous too, but seeking out supplementary 'tasty treats' around the farm are one of the joys in life for an old dog. If I have another dog, when this one is gone, I'd definitely try what Moll has described - good variety of nutrients into a convenient form - ideal alongside whole stuff to crunch up and chew on.
