ive never done any trapping or no anyone who has/does, so were would i start and what equipment would i need, all help appreciated.

I'm a relative newcomer and the best advice I can give you is to buy decent traps. There is a lot of rubbish on the market and those traps will make your progress much harder. For Duffus type look at Flatpack and genuine Talpex are sold by Ratbait. Don't mess about with cheaper imitations.

 

There are some really experienced and knowledgable guys on here. If you look back through previous posts (use the Search facility for threads on Moles) you will pick up some good advice. Best of luck.

Yes sound advice as thats exactly where I got my duffus and talpex traps from. Also if you are going to do a lot of mole catching it might be worth buying a 'dibber' and I got my from Flatpack too. There are a couple of booklets written by Simon Bollons which cover the basics for each type of traps which are worth a read if you are new to mole catching - again from Flatpack and here is link:-

Fortunately for someone in your position,there is more 'information' available nowadays,than EVER before, about 'mole trapping'!
