Irish Game & Country Fair Birr 25th & 26th August

Recommended Posts

I think its the musket loaders you would want to keep far away from the main arena not the TandL

How is the woman that was shot at Shanes Castle

Sorry for asking how the woman was that was shot with the ram rod that was fired out of a musket gun

at Shanes Castle Albert

Wasnt expecting that rather ANGRY private message you sent me :nono:

Are you supplying suites of armour for all attending

Again ,any word on the woman that was shot with the ram rod fired from the gun

Just Hunt,

I noted you have shown a great interest in this incident and have made several posts about it and now continue to make flippant remarks so I can assume that you are not genuinely interested in the lady's welfare but simply wish to associate our fairs with the accident. The incident has been investigated by the PSNI and Health & Safety people and if anyone is genuinely interested in the incident I am happy to discuss it if they give me a telephone call.

I did not send you an 'angry message' I simply said the following : "If you have a genuine interest in the lady who was injured at Shanes - give me a call on the game fair number and I will tell you. For the record she was not shot - she was hit by a ramrod that an unfortunate chap had left in his gun during a re-enactment. He was not shooting at the time he was intending simply to make a bang. As you can imagine he is rather upset by this unfortunate accident and can do without allegations that he shot someone. Accidents do occur at events no matter how hard one tries to avoid them - few events have not had accidents" I also stated that there had been other unfortunate accidents at other events in Ireland ( which we did not organise) including where someone was shot with a high powered air rifle and a kid nearly lost his fingers on a knife. As I said " these are largely outside of the control of organisers all of whom geniuinely do what they can to avoid them and flippant comments do not help either the person who caused the accident or the person who suffered.".

Albert, I wont be paying into Birr this year when I can attend a national show in Borris for free.     best of luck with the show.

Birr last year was one of the best shows i was ever at and if this year is half as good ,it is well worth attending

I disagree with you on this matter, you judge them on whether they are fit for purpose or not. A terrier must be able to fit up to a fox within reason. If what you say about KC shows being similar may

looking forward to meeting up with you guys.any directions as to how the hell ye find the place, lol.

Liam you and directions just dont mix,lol

now where did you get that idea from  got lost in the garden last week john, lol.

It should be a handy spin for you Liam, it also should suit any cork men attending the show, ye wont have to pay into the lucher/terrier section, tight feckers :tongue2:
