skycat 6,174 Posted July 26, 2012 Report Share Posted July 26, 2012 Problem is that some dogs grow a thicker coat each time you clip them, and with others, it can actually alter the coat texture. I did a really stupid thing and clipped Sparrow out at a year old: nothing wrong with her coat, but it was very thick and the summer was hot: her coat never grew back quite the same after that. Nowadays I prefer to strip them out with the help of a Furminator. 1 Quote Link to post
