Malt 379
I keep mine outside all year round. They'll be fine as long as you put enough bedding in and they have some sort of nest box/enclosed area.. Quote Link to post
Tug 168
Theydont like heat, as long as they have plenty of DRY straw or hay for bedding they stay nice and toasty. Change water bottles morning, noon and night. Quote Link to post

joe14 98
mine are outside all year round. All have plenty of fleece blankets. Ive been out in middle of night in winter thinking they'll be freezing and when ive put my hand in their bed box's theyre warmer than me all piled up. If theyre kept outside all year round they grow big winter coats anyway. They cope with the cold much better than the heat. Heats a killer and if they not kept an eye on hutch's/sheds can turn into ovens! In summer, I put in half a dozen of 2 litre frozen bottles in their shed on days when its red hot wraped in a blanket. That keeps shed and them cool enough and they lay on em. Dont leave the hutch hugger on front of the hutch on hot days. Edited July 26, 2012 by joe14 1 Quote Link to post
