mole trapper 1,693
Having a lazy morning , sat here at the pc, casualy look out of the window and see a red deer calf about 120 yds down the hedge prancing around then staring at the hedge, then bouncing away then coming back etc, a while ago mother came out to then went back in, the calf has been mucking about for an hour or so now, I know there are a brood of fox cubs down almost exactly where she is hanging around mostly, What i was wondering was is it possible she is actually playing with them, i know it sounds a bit walt disney but i cant think of any other explanation. Guest Macnas
Well if it's Disney, hadn't you better shoot it's mother and set fire to whole place? Violent film that Bambi..

J Darcy 5,871
i saw something similar once. we were walking slowly through a patch of willows when we heard a strange noise. We were after pheasants at the time, and thinking it may be two cocks sparring we crept forward to see a roe "bouncing" up and down at the edge of a stream. For a little while we watched thinking that it was "stuck in a snare". i had plans of running down and grabbing it, but when we approached the roe simply looked at us and bounded away. it was most odd!
