Jumpin'Jack 68
BARF is like raw meat, bones and organ. I personally think it's the best for my dog as when I go back to dry food, he loses weight. The protein depends on what meat you are giving the dog
chartpolski 24,426
BARF isn't a trade name mate. It means bones and raw food. The protein level, as has been said, depends on what meat you feed. Mine get lamb, chicken, beef, liver, game, etc. and they all have different protein levels. Cheers. Could be misleading to someone who doesn't know. It doesn't have to be commercialised. It can include butchers scraps, meats from supermarket, raw veggies etc. You can even feed game you catch yourself

THELURCHERANDLONGDOG 91
Biologically appropriate raw food is what it stands for. Ive never heard or that one before , not saying your wrong but ive allways known it as bone and raw flesh or bone and raw foods , biologically appropriate dosent make a lot of sense to me , surely dried complete food would class as biologically appropriate ?
