nothing at all wrong with a good quality complete food i won a lot of open races with my greyhounds feeding gain or redmills but tbh i still gave them meat and fish mixed in with supplements and vitamins. my thinking is i wouldnt want to eat the same dish of food every day so why should my dogs .since the season ended i have had mine on a low calorie mixer and give them meat and or fish with it 3 or 4 times a week but end of month they will start to get cleaned out and back on gain 28which i rate very highly .but at the end of the day everyone has their own opinion and if it works for you fair enough .

Why would you cut down the food intake if you are upping the dogs workload? Surely the more exercise the dog gets then the more food intake he,ll need. Starving a dog sure isnt the best way to get the weight down..exercise and work would be the best way to do that imo. Also everyone has their own method/type of feeding so just find the right mix for the dog and everything should be everything mate...atb stabba

I feed complete with raw mixed in. I use Wainwrights complete £39 a 15kg bag and mix in minced chicken carcasses, beef mince, mackeral fillets, brown pasta/rice, and table scraps on different days. Mine all get a cod liver oil capsule every other day. The odd cow's knee or apple
