samba 534
Once the bitch has broke down there's no stopping it..its always wise to let the bitch have her first season once there in season best to leave them let its cycle go threw fully you could jabbed it and it could break againin a few months let nature take its cause
gnipper 6,508
Get her one of them chastity belts with teeth, that'll sort the dogs out
beast 1,884
bestb to let her run with it and just take all sensible precautions, i agree you shouldn't tinker with hromones too much as you can get nasty surprises later on. i saw some pictures once of saluki bitches in season and the bedouins who owned them had wrapped layer after layer of rags round them like a nappy to stop the dogs getting at them, not sure you would like to try this though!!!!! BORDERSCOT 3,816
Hi I've got an 3/8 bull 5/8 grey bitch , just come out of season but for some reason she has stopped eating and lost loads of weight, and just looks like she has no energy, green puss coming out of her behind , just wondering if Any 1 has had this happen to there bitch ? She been to vets and they say she looks great but i no my bitch and she ant ok See another vet: any vet which ignores symptoms like the ones you've described needs shooting: that is providing you have given us the correct details in the first place, and of course, without examining the bitch in the flesh it is impossible to say exactly what is wrong, but those symptoms are normally associated with a pyometra which is an infection of the uterus, and which can kill a bitch if left untreated. Get another opinion from another vet quickly - I know a guy who lost a bitch to pyometra a few years ago...
