Gaz_1989 9,539
I believe my bitch is sal/grey/collie. Only had her a few months and really cannot fault her. History unknown and long story how I got her. She is extremely fast, takes rabbits on a golf course, very intelligent, works the lamp off the slip, very quick learner. Bags of stamina. Awesome temperament. She is gonna get tested hard this season. Few pics... Cheers, the dog I got a few days ago looks very similar so just trying to suss his breeding as we have no history Having a run with the bull/collie/grey 6month pup And my Saluki joining He is very similar. Where is he from? And what's with the muzzle? Cheers. I got him as he had been a stray in the Co Durham area. The muzzle is for the safety of my other dogs as his temperment off lead is unknown. When he gets close to my other dog he starts barking and I'm sure if there was no muzzle he would bite my Saluki. Can't take the chance on either getting hurt. With some training he will come right Sounds like the same temperament as my bitch too. Very wary around unknown/new dogs and won't think twice about telling them to piss off. She never starts a fight but doesn't back down if provoked. She is getting better though with time. I go out with new lads all the time for mooches and have got a few mates in the game so she is seeing new dogs all the time. I suspect she was a 1 man dog before I got her and not used to socialising. All the best with yours. Gaz Quote Link to post

Guest born to run1083
Mate of mine has this cross, not putting the cross down but the dog is the worst dog i have ever seen. All crosses can throw bad ones mate. My personal opinion there are more bad/average dogs out there then true good uns just some people are to kennel blind to see Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Each to there own pal. Whats a good'un? What's a bad'un? I'm over the moon with my bitch. Honestly couldn't ask any more from her. If you told me that every pup I get for the rest of my days would turn out like her then I would be happy. But you may think she's useless as may other lads. I think if you are happy then that's all that matters. 1 Quote Link to post

I got a first x collie grey I was alway pondering to put a saluki/grey over my end result might of been like what you got there with flash but was worried I might get the worst traits of both x's What was the rest of the litter like did many throw like him. I like my bitch she's put a huge amount of game away in her first season but I know she is only an average animal. There are mutts out there alot better. What I mean is say if you breed a litter I think your lucky to get 2 dogs out of it that are truly special the rest are average and some bad if you catch my drift. Quote Link to post

Even the best dogs out there from the very best lines only throw one or two truly special mutts out there litters very rare you find a good number making dogs that could be some bodies once in a life time dog. You just breed from the best and take your chance. Quote Link to post
