Recommended Posts

They'll always have that smell...

Just clean them out everyday, I dont mean a full clean just shovel the shit corner out and a handful of sawdust back in and clean them out intirely once twice a wk,

Clean bedding always help as they spend alot of time asleep.... You'll get used too it fellah i constantly stink of ferrets and dogs

yes just dont bother getting them no ferrets equals no smell

yep, i might be wrong but they are supposed to smell , as its the smell from them that makes the rabbits bolt, well before they make contact with each other . its nature's way of balancing things out  , so i would keep them clean ,but not over bath them.!!

use medow hay as bedding they will smell of summer :hmm: DAMP   a good housekeeping routine is as good as it gets, if the musky scent still causes a problem, then perhaps ferrets are not for you

You can get the vet to descent them as well but I don't know how much they would charge

You wont get that done in this country only in america for the pet ferret trade

Its only the hobs that smell during the summer when there nuts are dropped ,they dont smell if they are cleaned out and you can get red cedar shaving etc that are scented and would mask any smell
