Why ask?

Over the last few days I have responded to Two requests asking different things, the first was for wood dye, I replied for postage only I would send what was required what would normally cost £5.00 including postage for a all in cost of £ 2.50........ No reply?.

 

 

second request was for a large gunsafe again I pmnd the member offering a safe more than big enough for his needs and gave my post code so he could google the mileage to see if it would be worth the all round cost to be OK. to both I have had no response!. Perhaps I am to old school to understand the mind sets of such modern posters?. Arh well, maybe best to watch and say nout.

I agreed to sell something to person 'x' from this site, we got all the way to collecting the item after serveral discussions, on the day of the agreed collection i waited in all day... no show... no message... no explination...no phone call... nothing

 

I waited for a week to hear from person 'X' but nothing, so then i had to resell the item .. I didnt lose anything just delayed by a week waiting to hear from them.

 

There are alot of time wasters on here and for some reason they get kicks out of stringing people along, you just have to see it as you have offered to provide what they want, and if they dont have the common decency to reply, their loss.

 

Dont let them get under your skin, aint worth it

Yes, thanks Guys, funnily enough I have sold quite a few things on another site, the dearest over £500.00. another guy purchased two complete charging systems, one 12 ltre tank and gauge / hose and another 15 litre tank+ complete set up plus other as new gear, I think its a waste of time trying to reply to chaps on here certainly those I have replied to have gone quiet when had the chance. Mr Mole has asked about the safe now so I will respond to his inquiry.

I get lots like that, best one was i done a deal with a lad local to me on lure and give it to him for 120 picked up and he part ex his old one, and took away some old rubish for me , some one was asking for lure and he said 120 is what he paid, i come on a put it right(as stated above ) the lad pm'ed me asking for one told him the price 20 bar more + shipping never got back to me.. this other f****r pm'd me every day for aweek asking when/if steel was here night before steel come pm'ed asking again. not even 8 hour later i pm'ed him saying ok to pay/order now.. and he dropped out..so him and a few others have went in to the DS list and will never get one from me or anything else! no time for f*****g about!

I've had a good few dealings with folks from this site and for the most part I've not really had many problems but what really pisses me off is when folks don't have the common courtesy to even say 'thanks' for trying to help them out weather it's a reply to a problem posted on the 'net or something else.

 

Silly little things... For example I've sent daft little stuff through the post like dust covers and lense caps I've had spare to folks who've not had the decency to even reply and say 'ta', to one muppet whose Air Arms Camargue I've still got after I fixed up the basket case he sent to me through the post to sort out. If you're reading this, Gary, then please give me a shout. I don't want the f*****g thing and I can't get you on the number you gave me. It's ready and waiting for you, mate!!! It's an odd one, mate.

 

The lad posted on here way back about problems he was having with a gun he'd got from a mate. I offered to sort it and he posted the sorry collection of bits and bobs for me to put back together, which I did. He paid for a new spring and seemed a decent lad. I spoke to him on the phone and exchanged a few texts with him but once the work was done and it was ready to post back to him it all went cold..... I've just checked my phone and the last message was nearly a year ago but I can't get him on the same number

 

I'm not sure what to do about this but it would make a nice rifle for my own boys!!

Ha Ha Ha, Thanks fellers youve made me laugh, Yes Craig Penkridge is on today, If your going I will stagger along as well and we can be like the OLD GITS on Harry Enfields show going round insulting people I can say things like "Eeer you dont want to shoot like that ! do it like this!" and you can say your own insults! before they ask us politely to leave Let me know if your going and we will meet up and have a laugh! I know what you mean, but it's just the fact that the bloke's put his hand in his pocket for postage and a new spring. I've no way of getting hold of him though so I guess after all this time he just doesn't want it for whatever reason. He knows I'm on here and has got my number and address.
