Iv got a pup from sonny dog on both sides, so was half brother and sister bred.

I bought it from the lad on poachers rest. paid 350 for bitch pup and still waiting on KC papers 10 months later.

Il not be buying another pup from that gang.

Get a back bone and go knock on the breeders door and ask for your papper work.

By the way the breeder of the litter in question is and has been a member of THL for years.

Knock on his door like im going spend 150 on fuel to travel from north scotland to derby for a set of papers.

If he stayed in a reasonable distance I would av took the dog back and got my 350 back.

/im driving up to darrens next week ,to have a day out with him .if you want i can cut across to usk and pick you up .you can make your own mind up then . when you meet him .,but dont run with the pack mate when you know nothing about some one .or just say some thing in the hope that itl get you favour . as ive said before ive had my differences with darren and ive had some good laughs with him on the fen and in the pub .hes a very knowledgeable man as far as dogs health etc goes and hes seen probably the best of the best run in his days on the fen and matched his dogs ,hes done promotional work with major pet food companys hes appeared in documentarys .done editorial work for major fieldsports magazines .two years ago he arranged overnight stay in lincs for a certain person and his mate from ireland gave em a day out on the fen and gave up a day of his time to accomodate these men and theyre dogs ,for which he didnt get a cup of tea in return .now does that mean hes an arse ,now ive never met you and i dont think youve met me .but a couple that do know you tell me your a long haired scruffy bugger .but il reserve judgement until i meet you .the offers open though if you want to come up next week . me personally i dont cotton to all this slanging shit

Darren is a top lad who is always at the end of the phone and willing to give advice when asked. as has been said he has taken numerous people on days out inc myself. he is very knowledgeable when it comes to dogs and conditioning in general. i think a lot of the hatred of him is down to jealousy tbh and people forming an opinion of him when they have never met him

I don't know the guy, so I don't have a personal opinion of him. It seems to me that the animosity is caused because of his site; A lot of people appear to have been banned simply because they disagreed with some of his points of view; and others, like me, were never even allowed on the site ! I DID manage to have a look on, and quite honestly couldn't see what the fuss was about; it wasn't any different to the multitude of other sites that sprung up and have mainly fallen by the wayside.

How can you tell how good ANY dog is at ferreting just by a video ? The best Pedigree Whippet I've seen in person; ferreting, lamping and coursing, is Mally's bitch Vixen. You can't judge a dog by video or hearsay, you have to see it.

As for the bloke who paid 350 sovs for a whippet then expected a full back up, well all I can say is, if a dog is lining a fair few bitches and the pups are being punted at 350 a go then what do you f*****g expect!!!

At those prices it's all about the money and your a fool if you buy into some hype.

 

There's plenty of dogs bred from working parents that would not cost anything like that type of money if you bother to have a look and don't want a " name" behind your dogs......seems to me that the buyer is more worried about the bit of paper than the quality of the dog, that tells me all I need to know!!
