Mack 92
Looking for a spinning rod for mincing about on the Tees, got my eye on a 7ft multi-pc 5g-30g rated rod............ or do I need something around 3g-15g considering I’ll be climbing in & out of bushes all day looking for Trout, Grayling (Pike?) Tadpoles & Sticklebacks! Is there such a thing has a “cast & spinning rod”? I’m using a 30lb boat rod to spin with at the moment & that’s doing the business. Quote Link to post

billybaltic 308
I would use the 5g-30g rated rod, more of a wider choice with the lure's, but the 3g-15g will be great for ul type lure's, jig head's, mag worm's, smaller type lure's that will suit trout and perch, and also pike. 1 Quote Link to post
lifelong cumbrian 1,826
A 7ft daiwa whisker, not to hard on trout and have landed salmon up to 12lb on mine and pike to 15lb. I have a few daiwa rods never had a problem with them. 1 Quote Link to post
